Share what I’ve learned

I was rarely happy with my landscape paintings—they often felt too dull, or flat. That’s why I decided to focus on colorful minimalism, capturing just the essence of a photo. When creating this course, I revisited my entire learning journey and distilled it down to the very best, so you can create your own vibrant landscapes.

FAQs

Is the course available in English?

The course has English subtitles.

I like your approach, but I already paint. Can this course be useful to me?

> Module 1 is dedicated to getting started with watercolor. It's a module for beginners. You might discover some personal tips, but you'll be able to move on fairly quickly. The rest is based on my approach to watercolor and landscapes. I cover basic techniques, of course, but I also apply them to minimalist landscapes. If you like my approach, you'll discover lots of new things in modules 2, 3, 4, and 5!

I've never picked up a paintbrush in my life and I don't know how to draw. Can I take this course?

> Then this course is literally made for you! Say goodbye to drawing and the complex or outdated concepts of watercolor painting, and hello to spontaneity and modernity! Module 1 is designed for beginners, with a truly progressive introduction to watercolor. In the rest of the course, we'll see how to use basic techniques to create minimalist landscapes without drawing.

I already have your two books, what will the online course bring me?

Thanks to the videos, you'll get a much better understanding of the movements I use; it's a great complement to the books. I give advice as I go along, and there's a "comments" section where you can ask questions. Finally, all the landscapes in the course are different from the ones in my books.

Is the course accessible to the hearing impaired?

The course is subtitled in French.

Is the course available in HD?

All videos are available in High Definition. To check the playback quality, simply click the small scroll wheel at the bottom of the video and select "Quality: 1080p."

How long are the lessons?

Lessons last on average about fifteen minutes, but some are longer, lasting 30-40 minutes. They can be watched in several sessions. There are also short tutorials of about ten minutes.

How long do I have access to the course?

The course is accessible for life and you can take it as many times as you like.

What materials are needed?

You can follow the course with whatever materials you have! If you're looking for recommendations, the first video is dedicated to materials. You'll also find my advice on my blog.
For my part, I'll be using exclusively cotton paper (you'll find out why in the first video!) as well as my signature Sennelier palette, enhanced with a few colors, and Princeton Neptune brushes.

Can I give the course as a gift?

Yes, of course, you can buy a gift card here.
